Flexible rental space

Flexible rental space

This round-top barn was built by the original owner following a Midwest construction design that maximized storage for large round bales of hay. Now fully converted, there is a full kitchen, full bath, open living space, and a loft bedroom with a queen bed overlooking an open field.

This space is perfect for an individual or couple looking to unplug and refresh. It also works well as a mid-term rental when either your work brings you to the Upstate/Greenville area or you're considering relocating to the area. For additional overnight guests, the sofa does fold down into a full-size bed (though it should be noted that the loft is open/visible to the main living space).

We went with an open concept intentionally, wanting to be able to see this space utilized flexibly. Michelle enjoys hosting local writers' gatherings in this space. We held our oldest son's high school  graduation party here, and another friend hosted a mother-daughter special event. It could easily be utilized as a private location for counseling or a pop-up art show, and the entire front wall is equipped with picture molding for easy display changes. Small-business team-building sessions would be amazing in this space. Fire code capacity is 16.

Whether you're an overnight guest or hosting an event, we're happy to give you access to other features on the property, including a quiet creek-side trail walk, the Little Red Hen community garden, and a large open field with a bonfire pit. There's also a smaller fire pit up closer to the barn. And there's plenty of spots for hanging hammocks or having a picnic.

We're giving ourselves to hospitality and community building, hoping to share with you a space that is peaceful and life-giving.
